King Trumpet Scallops


  • 4 king trumpet mushrooms cut into thick, round slices.

  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • fresh lemon juice (for garnish)

  • fresh herbs (for garnish)Instructions:

  • cut king trumpet into thick, round slices

  • heat olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat

  • add the minced garlic to the hot skillet and saute for about 30 seconds until fragrant

  • place the king trumpet mushroom slices in the skillet. cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they are golden brown and tender on the inside.

  • season the mushroom with salt and pepper to taste. 

  • squeeze lemon juice over the mushroom scallops and garnish with fresh herbs.
